We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Support Workers to join our specialist team supporting, a 56-year-old gentleman living with advanced Huntington's Disease in his own home. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred care as part of a 24/7, 2:1 support package, helping him maintain comfort, dignity, and quality of life. He enjoys football, especially Liverpool FC, action and horror films, music, spending time with dogs and accessing the local community. His family, particularly his brother, are actively involved in his care and wellbeing.

As a Support Worker, you will provide a wide range of personal and clinical care, including support with PEG feeding, medication administration, oral and deep suctioning, catheter care, repositioning, pressure care, and safe transfers using a ceiling track hoist. You will monitor his health and wellbeing, recognising and reporting any signs of deterioration, while supporting his daily routines and helping him participate in activities he enjoys. Working closely with his family and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will build meaningful relationships and ensure his needs, preferences and dignity remain at the heart of everything you do. He communicates primarily through facial expressions and body language, patience, observation skills, and an understanding of non-verbal communication are essential to providing exceptional support.

Previous experience supporting individuals with complex care needs in a home care or community setting.
Experience with PEG feeding, hydration, and medication administration.
Knowledge of suprapubic catheter care and continence management.
Experience carrying out oral and deep suctioning.
Competent in moving and handling procedures, including the use of hoists.
Experience supporting individuals with neurological conditions such as Huntington's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Cerebral Palsy, or other complex conditions.
Experience providing personal care, repositioning, and pressure area care.
Ability to monitor and respond appropriately to changes in an individual's physical health and wellbeing.
