Royalty Auditor

About the Role

The Royalty Auditor handles all aspects of royalty compliance for CAA Brand Management, following the acquisition of Beanstalk and its royalty auditing team. The role sits within the Audit Division and reports to the SVP Audit Services. The postholder plans and executes audits independently, drafts reports and assists clients in settling audits, working alongside CAA Brand Managers in the US and UK and with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all existing audit procedures to handle licensee audits.
• Work directly with members of the Audit Division, CAA Brand Managers (US and UK) and clients to develop and manage client-specific audit plans.
• Independently handle audits for other major brands in the auditing portfolio.
• Work with the Legal, Contract Administration and Royalty Management departments to understand the legal and contractual implications of audits.
• Liaise with the US and UK brand functions to identify, schedule and perform licensee audits.
• Plan and execute audits in full, including drafting reports and assisting clients to settle audits.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business studies.
• At least 3 years of royalty audit experience in licensing, such as brand licensing, entertainment, music, sports or publishing.
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting practices.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate individual initiative as well as work within teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 35% of the time.

Preferred Skills

• ACA or equivalent qualification (preferred but not required).
