The Best Connection is currently recruiting for Yard Operatives for our well established client based in Epsom.

Job Type: 12 week Temporary to Permanent (via agency)

Working Hours

We offer two flexible shift patterns to suit your availability:

Option 1 - Monday to Friday

• Start time: 7:00am
• 4-6 hours per day

Option 2 - 3 Days per Week (Rota Basis)

• Start time: 7:00am
• 10-12 hours per day

Pay:

£13.00ph

Key Responsibilities of the Yard Operative:

• Assist with the day-to-day running of the yard.
• Direct and assist drivers and vehicles entering and leaving the site.
• Sort, segregate and manage different types of waste and recyclable materials.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Keep the yard clean, tidy and organised at all times.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Identify and report any hazards, damaged equipment or unsafe working conditions.
• Assist machine and plant operators where required, subject to training and authorisation.
• Support colleagues to ensure the site operates efficiently.

Requirements of the Yard Operative:

• A reliable, punctual and hardworking individual.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good awareness of health and safety.
• The ability to carry out physical, manual work.
• Previous experience in waste management, recycling, construction or a yard environment is desirable but not essential.
