Winner Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Hoyland, Barnsley.

The Role

As a Welder, you will be responsible for the MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components, working to high quality standards within a busy manufacturing environment.

You will also have the opportunity to work with automated plasma and seam welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components
• Manufacturing repetitive components using jigs and assembly fixtures
• Working to specified quality and workmanship standards
• Operating automated plasma and seam welding equipment
• Maintaining a high standard of work within a manufacturing environment
• Working as part of a team to meet production requirements

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in fabrication and welding
• Strong MIG welding experience
• Experience using jigs and assembly fixtures
• The ability to produce consistent, high-quality work
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• A good understanding of welding and fabrication processes
• TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential

Working Hours

Day Shift

• Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm

Regular structured overtime available.

Rotating Shift

• Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• Friday: 6:00am - 11:30am / 11:30am - 5:00pm

Shift premium of 1.15x applies to both shifts.

Pay & Overtime

• £16.13 - £16.78 per hour
• Guaranteed minimum weekly bonus of £50
• Overtime at enhanced rates:
• £24.20 per hour - Level A overtime
• £32.26 per hour - Level B overtime
• Additional monthly business performance bonus averaging around £280-£350
• OTE of approximately £36,150 - £41,060 per year
