Salary/Rate: £13.48 – £14.58 an hour

• Provide person-centred care to individuals in their own homes.
• Support clients with personal care , including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with medication according to training and care plans.
• Prepare meals and support clients with nutrition and hydration .
• Provide companionship and emotional support .
• Help with everyday living activities and light household duties .
• Promote clients’ independence, dignity and personal choice .
• Maintain accurate care records and report concerns appropriately.
• Treat clients with kindness, respect and compassion .
• Expected hours are around 37.5 hours per week , although both full-time and part-time arrangements are advertised.

Requirements

• Caring, compassionate and patient personality .
• Reliable, honest and professional approach.
• Good communication skills .
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team .
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential .
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings and alternate weekends .
• Employment is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check .
