Personal Care Assistant

I have MS and looking for someone who is patient, respectful and comfortable providing practical support while encouraging my independence. In my spare time, I enjoy music - especially jazz and a little Amy Winehouse - as well as reading and keeping up with current affairs. I am looking for a friendly, reliable and caring Personal Assistant to support me The role would include: Preparing my evening meal and assisting me with feeding when required. Helping with general household chores and keeping things tidy. Supporting me with my medication and vitamins. Experience using a hoist would be desirable, but it is not essential, as training can be provided. Providing friendly companionship and conversation. If you are caring, dependable and would enjoy making a positive difference to someone's evening, I would love to hear from you.,

• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
• Support with managing paperwork & correspondence.
• The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this.
• You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
• You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately.
• You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident.
• You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
• Car driver preferred but not essential.
