The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post. Working as part of a team in a busy appointments call centre, booking a range of outpatient clinic appointments and theatre procedures.

Main duties of the job

A fabulous opportunity has become available to join the patient booking department based in Wrexham Maelor Hospital. We are looking for a hard working individuals to join our team. The role is based in a busy call centre environment and the successful applicants will be part of a team of experienced staff with responsibility for managing a waiting list and booking patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi task and stay calm under pressure is essential.

Essential Criteria

• Good standard of education GCSE maths English A- C
• NVQ3 or equivalent or knowledge or experience working in a busy office environment
• I.T knowledge Micro soft packages

Desirable criteria

• Understanding of Medical terminology/ NHS experience
• Experience of working with NHS systems

Skills

Essential criteria

• Experience of working in an Acute hospital/GP practice or Call centre environment
• Experience of working with general public

Desirable criteria

• Experience of working with NHS systems
• Competent in use of Microsoft office

Experience

Essential criteria

• Excellent communication skills both written, verbal & telephone
• Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable criteria

• Previous waiting list management
