Looking for a job where every day is different, you're part of a great team, and the work you do genuinely matters?
Whether you're starting your career in care, looking for a rewarding change, or searching for a part-time role that fits around your lifestyle, we'd love to hear from you!
We're looking for a female* colleagues to join our friendly team in Irvine (up to 30 hours per week), supporting two wonderful ladies to live life to the fullest.
The ladies we support love being out and about and enjoy a fantastic range of activities - from music and discos to theatre trips, cinema visits, shopping and holidays. They both have their own mobility vehicles and love getting out into the community, so there's plenty of opportunity for fun, memorable days and new experiences.
Both ladies use wheelchairs, and you'll support them with their mobility, including the use of tracking hoists. Don't worry if you haven't done this before - you'll receive the training and support you need.
Most importantly, you'll be helping two people enjoy the things they love, build independence and make the most of every day.
If you're someone who is kind, reliable, fun-loving and enjoys helping others live life on their own terms, this could be the perfect role for you.
No experience? No problem! We'll train you, pay you and support you every step of the way. You'll even gain funded, recognised qualifications as you work.
As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of the ladies, shifts currently fall into patterns of 8.30am - 9pm or 12noon - 9pm, 7 days a week and will include sleepovers and weekends on a rotational basis. The sleepover part of your shift isn't calculated within your contracted hours, so you would be paid £107.60 for any sleepover worked.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
*For this position female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
We're looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible so we reserve the right to close this advert before the closing date if we find the suitable candidate.
