Complex care Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for dedicated and experienced Female Complex Care Nurses to join our compassionate team at Yorkshire Community Care, supporting our clients.

This is a highly rewarding role where every day you will make a real difference, helping someone live life to the fullest while developing your own professional and personal skills.

Shift pattern :

7am - 7pm Monday - Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Responsibilities

• · Deliver personalised, high-quality care and support tailored to the client’s individual needs.
• · Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility and meal preparation.
• · Tracheostomy management.
• Ventilation management
• Diabetes management
• · Administer medication and monitor health and wellbeing, responding appropriately to any changes.
• · Support community access, accompanying the client on outings, ensuring accessibility and safety.
• · Provide emotional support, encouragement and companionship.
• · Maintain accurate records of all care provided and report any concerns promptly.
• · Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Requirements

• Valid nursing qualification and registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide effective patient care.
• Experience with Cerebral Palsy, PEG feeding, and seizure management is desirable (training can be provided).
• Confident supporting home ventilation and monitoring respiratory status.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic, positive, and empathetic personality.
• Awareness of accessibility needs, including wheelchair-friendly routes, transport and venues.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider care team.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour daytime shifts.
• A calm, resilient and proactive approach to complex situations.
• Someone who can bring warmth, humour and creativity to the role.
