Radiographer Assistant (Band 3)

MPA Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting a Band 3 Radiographer Assistant to join our team in the Coleraine Area. This role will be based in a hospital setting and have an immediate start available. The pay rate will be £12.75-£21.55 per hour depending on shift worked.

Job Duties

• Maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times and behave in a manner demonstrating care and compassion to patients and their escorts.
• Assist Radiologists and Radiographers as required with all Ultrasound/Interventional Ultrasound examinations.
• Provide reassurance to patients by way of clear explanations as to nature of examinations sometimes in highly emotional situations.
• Respect patient’s privacy, dignity, wishes and beliefs and minimise any unnecessary discomfort.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all information, regarding patients/service users at all times.
• Provide information to Radiographers/Radiologists on patient’s needs during their examination.

Criteria

• Hold 4 GCSE’s at grade A-C including English Language and Maths (or equivalent qualification)

AND

• 2 years’ experience of working in a Health Care environment.

OR

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Health Care and 1 years’ experience working in a Health Care environment

AND

• Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.

Further Information

• 37.5 hours a week, will include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
