About …At Sloane

discipline and desire, exclusivity and electricity.

  • At Sloane is the London chapter of the Costes story. Hidden in the heart of Chelsea, the bar is its heartbeat — intimate, glamorous, and alive.

Here, service is precise but never stiff; every detail matters — from the way a glass is placed to the tone of a greeting.

It’s also a place where crowd curation is an art.

The bar draws an eclectic mix — long-time Chelsea regulars, artists, musicians, and cultural icons — while DJs create a soundtrack that feels spontaneous yet perfectly orchestrated.

  • At Sloane is an old-school bar for a modern generation — a place where you look at people, not your phone. A space of energy, elegance, and unexpected connection. It’s not just about cocktails; it’s about chemistry.

What will I be doing?

As Assistant Bar Manager, you’ll help set the tone of the house — acting as the bridge between precision and pleasure. You’ll oversee daily operations, support beverage programming, and ensure every sip and smile reflect the signature …At Sloane experience: sensual, seamless, and perfectly poised.

Craft The Experience

  • Help create an atmosphere that feels alive — seductive, elegant, and unmistakably …At Sloane.
  • Support, train, and inspire a team that delivers flawless service with confidence and character.
  • Maintain a culture of precision — detailed SOPs, daily briefings, and ongoing tastings to perfect every pour and every gesture.
  • Contribute to the development of beverage menus that balance artistry with intuition, sophistication with surprise.
  • Engage with guests personally — anticipating desires, remembering details, and making every interaction feel effortless.
  • Handle guest feedback with grace and professionalism.
  • Uphold a standard of presentation and energy that turns service into theatre.
  • Support revenue growth through creative upselling and ensure guest satisfaction targets are consistently exceeded.

Lead with Vision

  • Supervise bar operations and ensure alignment with the restaurant, lobby, and in-room beverage service.
  • Collaborate with the Bar Manager and General Manager to deliver a unified, flawless guest journey.
  • Monitor team performance and guest feedback, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint.
  • Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations, applying the same discipline you bring to service.
  • Assist in budget preparation, inventory control, and stock management in line with forecast targets.
  • Analyse financial and guest data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the execution of promotional events and brand activations.

Train. Perfect. Repeat.

  • Lead with an obsession for detail — constant training, feedback, and refinement.
  • Help build and sustain a team that embodies the …At Sloane philosophy: professional yet natural, serious yet seductive.
  • Conduct regular tastings, workshops, and coaching sessions to strengthen product knowledge and performance.
  • Ensure impeccable grooming, posture, and presentation standards across the team.
  • Participate actively in recruitment, onboarding, and career development to retain and nurture top talent.
  • Support effective rostering to meet business needs while maintaining cost efficiency.

What are we looking for?

  • A hospitality professional from a luxury lifestyle or design-led property.
  • Fluent in English (French is a strong advantage).
  • Holder of a Personal Licence.
  • Deep knowledge of spirits, wines, and champagne (WSET Level 2/3 preferred).
  • A natural host — magnetic, composed, and effortlessly engaging.
  • Operationally sharp, financially astute, and creatively inspired.
  • Experienced in leading and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Calm under pressure, detail-obsessed, and always impeccable.
  • Knowledgeable in UK Health & Safety, Licensing, and GDPR compliance.

Who are we?

We are a 5-star luxury lifestyle boutique hotel located in the heart of Chelsea, housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century building beside Sloane Square station. The hotel features a rooftop restaurant, an intimate cocktail bar, and thirty thoughtfully designed bedrooms.

Blending the heritage of the Cadogan Estate with a refined French sensibility, the hotel offers a private, elegant, and characterful environment. Independently run, we seek passionate individuals who take pride in their craft and are motivated to contribute to something special.

Our people are ambassadors of the property — trusted to bring personality, precision, and pride to everything they do, while delivering a level of service that is warm, confident, and quietly exceptional.

  • Upon successful completion of the probation period
  • The service charge range fluctuates based on our forecasted business levels and may vary from month to month.
