SuperTeam Deputies work across all pods in London to ensure the consistency and support of each home and to aid sickness and crisis. As an experienced person in Ofsted Residential Care, you will assist in the management and direction of multiple homes around London. Your duties will include stepping in for the manager when needed, supporting and supervising staff, interacting directly with young people, addressing child protection issues and complaints, collaborating with professionals for the best outcomes, and managing resources and finances appropriately.

Main Purpose of the Job

To work alongside the Registered Manager to manage the service's existing workforce and resources, as well as to promote and safeguard the welfare of the young people in our care.
To assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose.
To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
To support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the young people.
To undertake direct work with young people as appropriate.
To be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints.
To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
To ensure that resources are allocated appropriately, and financial records are accurately maintained.

Person Specification

A good standard of literacy and numeracy
NVQ 3 / Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Residential Experience
Team Building and Supervision Skills
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Understanding the needs of young people who have experienced trauma including managing challenging behaviours.
Good organizational skills
