Indirect Procurement Buyer

The Procurement team at Volkswagen Group UK are recruiting for an indirect Buyer on a full time permanent basis. This role will report into the Procurement Category Manager.

What you could be doing:

• You will lead on the delivery of projects and value generation within an indirect spend area.
• You will be providing commercial guidance and where necessary coaching and supporting your stakeholders on Procurement process and policy.
• You'll take the lead on tender activity to leverage spend across our different brands and entities; including scope review, supplier due diligence, negotiation and recommendation for approval via presentation.
• You'll proactively identify and implement areas of improvement, building strong stakeholder relationships while adding value to our core processes and ensure best practice is met at all times. Experience working in an indirect Procurement Buyer role.
• Confident and effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• A keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills and a strong commercial acumen.
• A self-starter, who can operate independently in accordance to the category strategies agreed with your line manager.
