About the role

We are looking for a Mid-Level Low-Code Developer to join Formulate and help us design, build and maintain smart, scalable business solutions using modern low-code platforms. You will work across Microsoft Power Platform, Airtable and Power BI to turn real business problems into practical, well-built applications, dashboards and automations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain applications, workflows and automations using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.
• Build and manage collaborative databases, interfaces and automations in Airtable to support internal and client workflows.
• Develop clear, insightful dashboards and reports in Power BI, including data modelling and DAX calculations.
• Translate business requirements from clients and internal stakeholders into practical low-code solutions.
• Use AI-assisted and vibe coding tools and techniques to accelerate development, prototyping and problem-solving.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual or repetitive processes across the business.
• Test, document and maintain solutions to a high standard, ensuring they are reliable, secure and easy to hand over or support.
• Collaborate closely with the wider development team, sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Stay current with new features and best practice across the low-code and AI tooling landscape.

Essential skills and experience

• At least 1 year of commercial experience in a low-code development, business systems or automation role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform or Airtable, including automations, interfaces and relational bases. Experience across both is a plus.
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI, including data modelling basics.
• A genuine interest in AI tools, vibe coding and how they are changing software development.
• A logical, problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with stakeholders and translate their needs into working solutions.
• Python experience for scripting, data processing or automation tasks.
• Experience with APIs and integrating third-party systems and services.
• Familiarity with Dataverse, SharePoint or other Microsoft 365 tools.
• Experience using AI coding assistants, such as Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT, in a day-to-day development workflow.

Our values

At Formulate, we live by a Can Do attitude. We are looking for someone who brings energy, positivity and resourcefulness to their work; someone who sees a challenge and looks for a way through it. You will fit right in if you are proactive, adaptable and enjoy figuring things out with the help of modern AI and automation tools.

What we offer

• A hybrid working pattern, with two days per week in our Guildford office and the rest remote.
• Real ownership of projects from day one, using modern low-code and AI-driven tooling.
• A supportive, collaborative team culture built around a Can Do mindset.
• Ongoing learning and development, including exposure to the latest AI and automation tools and techniques.
• Clear opportunities to grow into more senior technical or solution-architecture roles.
