Whether you're an established Registered Manager looking for a well-resourced, supportive provider, or an ambitious senior Deputy Manager ready for…
Contract/Hours: Fixed Term/Full Time – 37 hours per week
At Action for Children, we offer more than just a job. Join us and you’ll be part of a team dedicated to giving children safe and happy childhoods. See how your skills can make a real difference, helping solve the problems children and young people face every day.
Are you an existing Deputy Manager or Team Leader waiting for the opportunity to lead your own team?
As Registered Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact over the next 12 months, leading a dedicated team and ensuring our young people receive high quality, therapeutic care. You'll provide strong leadership, champion positive practice and create a culture where both young people and staff feel supported to thrive.
This 12-month fixed term opportunity could be the ideal next step for an existing Deputy Manager / Team leader ready to progress into a Registered Manager role, or an existing manager looking to broaden their experience within a supportive organisation where your development and career progression are valued.
Willow lodge is a warm, nurturing therapeutic children's home for up to four young people. With two young people currently settled and thriving, this is an exciting time to join an established team and play a key role in welcoming additional young people and shaping the continued development of the home.
Our therapeutic approach focuses on understanding each young person's individual needs, building strong relationships and creating an environment where they can feel safe, supported and thrive. You'll be supported by action for children's therapeutic team through special training, reflective supervision and ongoing consultation, giving you and your team the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes.
As Registered Manager, you'll take the lead in ensuring the home continues to provide outstanding care and positive outcomes for young people, supporting the team to deliver a therapeutic approach. You’ll lead on ensuring the home continues to meet the required regulatory standards, with support and guidance from your leadership team.
Every child should have a loving home, food, warmth, the chance to grow and learn - the support to cope with life’s challenges. But too many children don’t. By bringing your passion and unique skills and experience, you’ll help us change that where it really matters.
We've been driven by love to take action for children for over 150 years, giving them the protection and practical help they need. A lot’s changed since 1869. But what children really need, hasn’t. So as long as children need us, we’ll be here.
Will you join us?
Action for Children - Driven by Love
At Action for Children, we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued, and able to thrive. We know that racism and discrimination create barriers, and we are taking active steps to challenge these inequalities in our organisation and in the communities we serve.
We strongly welcome applications from people who are Black, Asian, or from other racialised and ethnically marginalised communities, as well as disabled people, who are currently under-represented in our workforce. We are committed to removing barriers in our recruitment processes and ensuring fair access to opportunities.
We also encourage applications from men, who are under-represented in our Children’s Services roles. We recognise that people hold multiple identities, and we value the richness this brings to our team.
