Deputy Sister / Charge Nurse - Burns Specialist Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Burns Specialist Care for a motivated Band 6 Nurse with an interest in Burns and Plastics Specialist nursing. Previous acute experience as burns nurse would be desirable. You would be part of the Multidisciplinary Team to ensure our inpatients/outpatients receive the quality care that is essential to meet their holistic needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to enable you to work effectively within a challenging environment., The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development and/or implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. Is expected to manage a caseload of patients on the ward environment or Burns Unit. Has knowledge about different wound dressings and able to perform dressings changes. Able to assess wounds and identify any signs of infection. Is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care maintaining a high standard of nursing care within the framework of Trust Policies. Is expected to supervise junior qualified staff
