WEIGHBRIDGE ADMINISTRATOR - CV6, COVENTRY

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Weighbridge Administrator to join our client based in the CV6 area of Coventry.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working on a weighbridge or within a similar administrative role , with a good understanding of recording vehicle movements, processing paperwork and dealing with drivers. You will need to be confident working independently and comfortable working in a busy site environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Operating the site weighbridge and accurately weighing vehicles entering and leaving the site
• Recording vehicle weights, registration numbers, driver details and details of the materials/load being carried
• Processing and issuing weighbridge tickets for incoming and outgoing vehicles
• Checking that information provided by drivers matches the relevant paperwork and system records
• Booking vehicles in and out of the site and managing vehicle movements
• Processing delivery and collection documentation
• Completing waste transfer notes and other relevant site documentation where required
• Entering accurate information onto the weighbridge system and internal databases
• Maintaining accurate records of vehicle movements, weights and loads
• Liaising directly with drivers arriving on site and providing instructions on where they need to go
• Communicating with customers, suppliers, transport teams and site operatives
• Dealing with queries relating to collections, deliveries, weights and paperwork
• Identifying and reporting any discrepancies with loads, weights or documentation
• Assisting with daily and weekly reports, spreadsheets and general site administration
• Filing and maintaining paperwork and ensuring records are kept up to date
• Following all company procedures relating to health & safety, environmental regulations and site security
• Working closely with the site team to ensure vehicles are processed efficiently and the weighbridge operates smoothly

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous weighbridge experience is essential
• Experience working in a busy site, waste, recycling, logistics or similar environment
• Good understanding of weighbridge procedures and documentation
• Strong administration and data-entry skills
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when recording weights and vehicle information
• Good computer skills and confidence using databases and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with drivers and site personnel
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
• Reliable, organised and punctual
• A professional and approachable manner

This is a Monday to Friday, daytime position offering a consistent working pattern and the opportunity to work within an established site team.
