Loader

We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Loader to work alongside a Refuse Collection Vehicle Driver.

No driving is required.

The Role will involve working as part of a two-person team, collecting wheelie bins and safely loading them onto the refuse collection vehicle.

Role: Loader

Pay: £13.45 per hour

Shifts: 4 days on / 4 days off

Hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm - 42 hours per week

Type: Temporary

Duties:

• Work alongside the RCV driver during daily refuse collections.
• Get out of the vehicle and collect wheelie bins from properties.
• Attach bins safely to the vehicle's lifting mechanism.
• Operate the bin-lifting equipment to empty bins into the vehicle.
• Return bins safely to their original position.
• Keep collection areas safe and tidy.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Maintain a professional, reliable and positive approach throughout the shift.

Requirements:

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
• Comfortable with a physically active role involving walking, lifting and repetitive movement.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work effectively as part of a two-person team.
• Good awareness of health and safety.
• Previous refuse collection or waste industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Full training can be provided.
