A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing facilities maintenance company based in Basildon, supporting a portfolio of prestigious clients and commercial properties.

Following continued growth and new contract wins, the company is looking for an experienced Facilities Helpdesk Coordinator to take ownership of their own client accounts, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites over a large geographical area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, building strong client relationships and managing engineers and subcontractors to ensure maintenance jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed deadlines.

The Role

Working closely with the Helpdesk Manager, you will manage your own client accounts and ensure maintenance requirements are dealt with efficiently and professionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing planned and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites.
• Taking ownership of client accounts and understanding individual client requirements.
• Scheduling and coordinating engineers and subcontractors across a large geographical area.
• Liaising with subcontractors to arrange works, confirm attendance, monitor progress and ensure jobs are completed on time.
• Opening, booking, updating and closing jobs using client portals and job management systems.
• Following up on outstanding works, chasing subcontractors and engineers, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Communicating confidently with clients, engineers and subcontractors, keeping everyone updated.
• Arranging additional works and following jobs through to completion.

About You

You must have proven experience working on a facilities maintenance helpdesk within a commercial property, building services or facilities management environment. Or have experience scheduling Engineers across multiple locations.

Ideally, you will have managed your own client accounts or property portfolio and have experience coordinating engineers and subcontractors across multiple sites over a wide geographical area.

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in a commercial facilities maintenance helpdesk role.
• Experience coordinating reactive maintenance and managing jobs through to completion.
• Strong experience liaising with and managing subcontractors, including scheduling works and chasing progress.
• The ability to coordinate engineers and contractors across multiple locations.
• Experience using client portals, CAFM systems or job management software.
• A proactive approach to resolving issues and ensuring clients receive an excellent service.
• Commercial facilities maintenance experience and scheduling Engineers is essential. Candidates with purely residential property or domestic maintenance experience will not be suitable for this role but could be considered for another client
