At Stena Line, we work together to transform our business and achieve our vision – Connecting Europe for a sustainable future. Great teamwork and a friendly atmosphere are in our DNA. We are true problem-solvers and are always up for a new challenge.
Are you practical, reliable and safety-focused, with experience in maintenance, construction or a similar environment? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and play an important role in keeping our port operations running safely and efficiently?
As a Port Maintenance Operative, you will provide on-site maintenance support to our Technical Services team, helping to maintain the port, respond to defects and ensure our facilities and machinery are kept in a safe and operational condition. You’ll work as part of a close-knit team where no two days are necessarily the same, with opportunities to learn new skills and take on a variety of tasks.
The journey starts with us – come join our family!
As a Port Maintenance Operative, you’ll be part of a team that plays an important role in keeping our port operations running safely and efficiently.
The role offers variety, with tasks and priorities changing depending on the current workload and operational requirements. Weekly work schedules will provide details of the tasks to be completed, but flexibility is important as priorities can change.
A large proportion of the role will involve working outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Some tasks may require you to use boats to access work areas, with suitable equipment and training provided. There may also be occasions where you are required to work in confined spaces, with appropriate training and equipment provided.
This is an opportunity to develop your practical skills, gain experience across a range of maintenance activities and work within a supportive team environment.
At Stena Line, your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. Regardless of your role, our values of Welcoming, Caring and Reliable guide us in our everyday work and the challenges we face.
We are looking for someone who is practical, dependable and willing to learn, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Previous experience operating machinery or working within a port, construction, engineering or maintenance environment would be advantageous.
This is a full-time, permanent position within our Port Operations/Technical Services team.
Please note that we kindly decline any offers from recruitment or staffing agencies regarding this recruitment.
