Flexible Part-Time Personal Assistant/Carer (New Earswick, York)

Looking for a friendly, proactive, trustworthy, professional and reliable Personal Assistant with prior care-work experience and great inter-personal skills, to join a care-team taking flexible shifts supporting a disabled person with a rare condition causing temporary periodic full-body-paralysis along with an extreme Gluten allergy in his own home in New Earswick. This would be great as a part-time position for suitable candidates in college or university courses or those needing extra work in their free time.

The Details:

When : Two fixed days per week and one rotating shift, 10am till 4pm, flexibility for working weekends including Sundays required.

Pay : £15 per hour.

Requirements:

• Current Enhanced DBS check,
• prior care-work experience,
• Home location that allows emergency availability.
• Own transport preferred but not essential as client's home easily accessible by bus or taxi.

Key Duties: Support in all required ways during periods of client's paralysis including assistance with going to the bathroom, along with accompanying client to attend appointments or while going out for walks, generally assisting with all household or garden tasks asked, and providing friendly but non-intrusive companionship.
