KS2 Form Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Competitive salary commensurate with experience

February 2027 start date until end of summer term 2027

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, innovative and compassionate Key Stage 2 Form Teacher (Maternity cover).

City Junior School is an independent, co-educational, academically selective school for 7-11 year olds. The school opened in September 2022 with 75 pupils and now has around 300 pupils in Years 3 ??" 6.

We are proud of the things that make our school unique:

• Our links to our parent schools ??" City of London School for Girls and City of London School , where pupils will transition at the end of Year 6 and whose facilities and specialist teachers they share ??" and to the Corporation of London, and its family of schools
• Our location in the peaceful surroundings of Gray's Inn, yet with all that London has to offer on our doorstep
• Our approach to learning which sees our children developing as thinkers, both in the classroom and beyond and both for themselves and of others. Academic standards are high, and so is the focus on wellbeing. City Junior School is, just like its parent schools, down to earth and unstuffy. We have fun, but we take the business of learning very seriously.

Our school values of Community , Joy and Scholarship are evident throughout our school, and we welcome applications from experienced practitioners who resonate with who we are and from those who are ambitious for themselves and others. Applications from teachers with Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 3 experience are also encouraged, and applicants should state in their application their subject specialism or area of interest.

The school offers supportive terms of employment, generous training opportunities, and membership of the Teacher Pension Scheme.

The closing date for applications is Friday 16 October 2026 at 9am.

City Junior School is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (criminal convictions) checks and medical clearance. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
