Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour

Job Description

Assembly Operative

Near Pulborough, West Sussex

£12.75 - £13.50 per hour Monday to Friday | 08:30 - 17:00

Want a hands-on role where the work is a little more interesting than simply standing on a production line all day?

We're recruiting Assembly Operatives for a well-established engineering manufacturer near Pulborough, working on specialist technical products where accuracy, care and quality really matter.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, likes learning how things go together and wants to build a long-term career within engineering or manufacturing.

You might already have assembly experience, or you might be coming from another practical background and looking for the chance to develop.

What you'll be doing

You'll be working as part of a close-knit production team, with responsibilities including:

• Mechanical and electrical assembly
• Using hand and power tools
• Following drawings, work instructions and build processes
• Basic wiring and fitting work
• Carrying out quality checks
• Working carefully with detailed components
• Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe

The products are technical and built to a high standard, so this role suits someone who takes pride in getting things right.

We'd like to hear from people with experience in areas such as:

• Assembly
• Production
• Manufacturing
• Wiring
• Electrical work
• Mechanical fitting
• Machine operation
• Automotive
• Construction or practical trades
• Engineering environments

You do not need to tick every box.

If you're practical, reliable, comfortable working with your hands and genuinely keen to learn, there is training available to help you develop.

What we're looking for

• A reliable and positive attitude
• Good attention to detail
• Confidence with practical, hands-on work
• Willingness to learn new processes
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• A team-focused approach
• A stable work history is preferred

Why consider it?

This is a long-term opportunity with a respected engineering business offering structured training, stability and genuine progression into more technical areas as your experience develops.

If you're looking for somewhere you can settle in, learn properly and build a career rather than just pick up another short-term production job, this could be a really good move
