Production Team Leader

Production Team Leader

Night Shift | Stafford

There's a difference between managing a line and truly leading it.

This opportunity is built for someone who naturally takes ownership on shift, someone who sees the bigger picture across production, quality and people, and knows how to bring it all together when it matters most.

Our client, a well-established and fast-evolving manufacturing business, is strengthening its night operation. With investment into systems, structure and people, they are now looking for a Production Team Leader to take responsibility for a key area within dispensary and mixing operations.

This is not a step back from the tools. It is a hands-on leadership role where you set the tone, drive standards and make sure everything runs exactly as it should, even when things don't go to plan.

The role

• Owning health and safety on shift, setting the standard and holding the team accountable
• Deploying and supervising operatives to ensure production targets are met efficiently
• Supporting and stepping in for the Supervisor when required
• Overseeing the full process, from preparation and manufacturing through to packing and cleaning
• Ensuring all food safety, quality and CCP checks are completed correctly
• Monitoring product quality and working closely with QC and QA teams
• Supporting investigations into issues and complaints, identifying root causes and improvements
• Driving training on shift with a hands-on approach
• Monitoring machinery, systems and the working environment daily
• Working closely with planning to ensure priorities are met and schedules are delivered
• Completing documentation accurately and maintaining high operational standards
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and new ways of working
• Carrying out staff appraisals and developing team capability

This is a role where you are expected to think, act and lead, not just follow process.

What they are looking for

You might already be a Team Leader, or a strong senior operator ready to step up.

• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally food or process-led
• A strong understanding of health & safety and quality standards, HACCP knowledge is a plus
• The ability to lead people on shift and get the best out of a team
• Confidence working across systems, machinery and production processes
• A proactive mindset, someone who spots issues early and takes action
• A hands-on approach with a natural sense of ownership and accountability

The shift pattern

This role operates on a fixed night shift pattern:

• Week 1: Sunday to Wednesday, 19:00 to 07:00
• Week 2: Monday to Wednesday, 19:00 to 07:00

This structure offers a consistent routine with built-in extended time off across the rotation.

Why this opportunity stands out

• A genuine leadership role with real responsibility on shift
• Clear progression pathways within a growing operation
• Investment into people, systems and continuous improvement
• A business that values ownership, teamwork and development
• Competitive salary, shift allowance and overtime opportunities
• Access to a wide range of benefits including pension, life assurance, health support and ongoing training

This is a role for someone who wants to take control of their shift, build a strong team around them and play a key part in how a production operation performs.

If you are ready to step into that position, this is the kind of environment where you can make it count
