Graduate / Assistant Building Surveyor - APC Support

Building Surveyor role in Nottingham with APC support

Our client is an independent firm of chartered building surveyors in Nottingham, and they're growing the team at their new office. If you've got a year or more of surveying behind you and you're working towards your APC, this role gives you the range of work to build your case.

What you'll be doing

Your work as a Building Surveyor will centre on:

• Condition surveys and schedules of condition
• Pre-acquisition surveys
• Dilapidations
• Project management

You'll also get exposure to expert witness work, party wall matters and other building surveying services. You'll be out on site regularly, and based in the office when you're not.

APC support and progression

• APC support from a former APC assessor
• A broad mix of instructions to build your experience
• A small business where your input counts
• A stated policy of growing the team from the bottom, with a clear path for progression

What you'll need

• At least 1 year's experience as a Building Surveyor
• A BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying accredited by RICS
• To be working towards your APC, with a good start on your two years' structured experience
• Access to a car, as the new office is outside the city centre with limited public transport

A construction background (a BTEC route or time working in construction before or alongside your degree) is a bonus, not a requirement.
