We are looking for reliable and compassionate Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to work in care homes in Derby. The successful candidate will provide safe, professional and person-centred nursing care to residents while working closely with care staff and other healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with individual care plans.
Administer medication safely and maintain accurate medication records.
Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Complete accurate nursing notes, care records and incident reports.
Support residents with their physical, emotional and healthcare needs.
Liaise with GPs, community nurses, pharmacists, hospitals and other healthcare professionals when required.
Participate in staff handovers and ensure important information is communicated effectively.
Follow infection prevention and control, safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
Support and supervise care staff where required.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow the home's emergency procedures.
Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, confidentiality and independence at all times.
Work in accordance with NMC standards, company policies and relevant UK healthcare legislation.
Requirements
Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse.
Relevant nursing qualification.
Previous nursing experience, preferably within a UK care home or similar healthcare setting.
Good knowledge of medication administration and clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
Right to work in the UK.
Up-to-date mandatory training and compliance documents.
Shift Requirements
Flexible day and night shifts may be available, including weekends and bank holidays depending on service requirements.
