What you will do:

Efficiently cut at least 25 blocks per hour, including complex cases, showcasing your precision and attention to detail.
Conduct microtomy, embedding, and microscopic quality control of histological samples to ensure high standards are maintained.
Support clerical duties by booking in samples on the lab information system, as well as performing manual special stains when required, depending on your experience.
Demonstrate your expertise through a face-to-face interview and practical assessment prior to starting, highlighting your readiness for this vital role.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

HCPC registration and a relevant qualification in biomedical science or an alternative qualification in a related field.
Demonstrable post-qualifying experience within biomedical science, ideally from a UK laboratory setting.
