What you will do
- Manage a diverse paediatric dietetic caseload covering a wide range of needs and complexities.
- Undertake comprehensive nutritional assessments for infants, children, and young people.
- Develop and implement personalised nutritional care plans to support optimal health outcomes for paediatric patients.
- Provide tailored dietary advice and education to families and carers, empowering them to support their child's nutritional needs.
- Monitor and evaluate nutritional interventions to ensure effective and measurable outcomes.
- Work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care.
- Support enteral feeding management where required, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation.
- Participate actively in service development and quality improvement activities to enhance dietetic services.
Requirements
- Degree or Postgraduate Qualification in Dietetics
- HCPC registration
- Band 6 Dietetics experience
- Proficiency in Paediatric Dietetics, particularly with dysphagia cases
- Experience managing a paediatric caseload with strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in undertaking nutritional assessments and developing care plans
- Capacity to work independently while showcasing excellent communication skills
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in Community and Acute Paediatric Dietetics
- Enteral feeding experience
- Previous involvement in audit and service development
