Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8am–4/5pm, with flexibility for workinglonger hours or some weekends when the Principal is in the property. Time offin lieu will be given when he is not there.

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 gross per annum, potentially more for an exceptionalcandidate

Start: November, but flexible

Contract: Permanent, long-term

Household: European Principal; 2 adults and one 18-month-old child when thehousehold is in residence

Aprivate household in Sloane Square, Chelsea is looking for an experienced,proactive and highly organised Live-In Housekeeper to join them on a permanent,long-term basis.

Thefamily lives in a six-bedroom property and already employs a Nanny and Chef, sothere are no regular childcare or cooking responsibilities.

TheEuropean Principal is in residence for approximately five months in totalthroughout the year, generally for periods of around 1-3 weeks at a time. Whenthe Principal is not in residence, the Housekeeper will continue to look afterand maintain the property, ensuring it is always kept ready for their return.

Thefamily is looking for someone experienced, fit and active, with exceptionalattention to detail and the ability to maintain the residence to hotelstandards. It is particularly important that the successful candidate isproactive, notices what needs to be done and takes the initiative withouthaving to be asked.

Duties

• Full housekeeping andmaintaining the residence to excellent, hotel-level standards
• Cleaning, dusting, tidyingand general organisation throughout the property
• Laundry and ironing
• Ensuring the propertyremains immaculate, organised and well maintained whether the Principalisin residence or away
• Preparing the propertyahead of the Principal’s arrival
• Helping with the smoothday-to-day running of the household
• Working alongside andliaising with the Nanny, Chef, House Manager and other household staff
• Monitoring the property andflagging any maintenance issues requiring attention to the House Manager
• Taking initiative anddealing with tasks proactively
• Preparing a simplebreakfast, such as porridge and smoothies, if required when the Chef isnot available
• Other general housekeepingduties as required

Thereis no regular childcare required as the family employs a Nanny.

Property& accommodation

Thefamily lives in a six-bedroom residence in Sloane Square with gym and spafacilities. The property must be maintained and presented to exceptionally highstandards at all times. The property has a lift; however, the Housekeepershould have a good level of fitness, as the house is arranged over 6 floors and there are also a significant number of stairs.

TheHousekeeper will be provided with private live-in accommodation consisting of abedroom and bathroom within a self-contained flat with its own entrance.

Hours

Mondayto Friday, approximately 8am–4/5pm.

Flexibilityoutside the usual schedule may occasionally be required, particularly when thePrincipal is in residence.

Startdate

Novemberpreferred, although the family can be flexible for the right person.
