WORK BASED ASSESSOR - CARPENTRY AND JOINERY

£39,058 Per Annum

35 hours per week

Qualified to SVQ level 3(SCQF Level 6) in Carpentry & Joinery and possessing 5 year post qualification with relevant Industrial experience in the Carpentry & Joinery industry, you will support, assess and verify candidates undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship in the Carpentry & Joinery Sector.

You will be in possession of (or willing to work towards) a relevant formal Assessor qualification relating to the gathering of evidence of learner attainment in a range of work settings. You will be conversant with computerised systems of recording learners' e-portfolio and you will liaise with Stakeholders to ensure work experience meets Awarding Body Requirements.

Recent industrial experience in Carpentry & Joinery Sector and knowledge of the relevant National Occupational Standards system is essential for this post, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines. Successful applicants will have good interpersonal skills, as they will be the main liaison between the College and Stakeholders. A clean driving licence is essential as site visits will be required.
