About this Role

Milton Parochial Primary School is a happy, welcoming Church of England primary school where children are nurtured to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. We are proud to be part of Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) , a vibrant family of academies committed to providing high-quality education rooted in Christian values.

We have a rare opportunity for an outstanding, enthusiastic, and caring Class Teacher to join our committed Early Years and Key Stage 1 team. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT seeking a supportive environment to complete your induction, we offer a place where your passion for teaching will be valued and supported.

We are seeking a candidate who:

Has a strong understanding of early childhood development, the EYFS framework, continuous provision, and Key Stage 1 curriculum requirements and is therefore able to develop Quality First Teaching.
Demonstrates a passion for early reading and effective systematic synthetic phonics delivery.
Creates an engaging, language-rich, and inclusive classroom environment rooted in mutual respect.
Has high expectations for pupil progress, attainment, and positive behaviour management.
Works collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and external agencies to ensure every child thrives.
Is supportive of our distinctively Christian vision and ethos.

What We Can Offer You:

In return, as part of our school and the wider PDET family, we can offer:

Inquisitive, Friendly Pupils: Children who are eager to learn and take pride in their school community.
High-Quality Professional Development: Access to Trust-wide CPD networks, tailored training programmes, and collaborative opportunities across PDET academies.
Supportive Environment: A dedicated leadership team that prioritises teacher well-being, workload balance, and staff voice.
ECT Support: Comprehensive, structured mentoring and induction support for Early Career Teachers.
Benefits: Access to the Teachers' Pension Scheme and Employee Assistance Programme, delivered via Perkbox.

Safeguarding Statement

PDET, and all of our schools, are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment, therefore all appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, and references will be sought prior to interview for all shortlisted candidates. We are an equal opportunities employer.
