Retail Area Manager (Luxury)

This established luxury fashion brand is looking for an Area Manager to oversee its stores across London and Ireland.

You’ll be responsible for sales performance, store standards and team development across the area. Working closely with Store Managers and head office, you’ll ensure stores run effectively and deliver a consistently high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial performance across the area, delivering sales targets and controlling costs.
• Review sales and KPIs with Store Managers, identifying opportunities and agreeing clear action plans.
• Coach and support Store Managers, helping them develop their teams and manage performance.
• Oversee recruitment, training and succession planning across the store portfolio.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, clienteling and visual merchandising.
• Carry out regular store visits, reviewing performance, operations and team needs.
• Monitor stock management, loss prevention and compliance with company procedures.
• Manage staffing and payroll in line with budgets and trading requirements.
• Work with head office teams to communicate store priorities, customer feedback and local market insight.
• Support store openings and other retail projects as required.

Experience and skills

• Experience in an Area Manager or multi-site retail management role, ideally within premium fashion.
• A proven track record of delivering sales growth and improving store performance.
• Strong people management skills, with experience coaching and developing Store Managers.
• A good understanding of retail KPIs, budgets and cost control.
• Experience delivering high standards of customer service and building customer loyalty.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with a practical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to manage priorities across multiple locations and work independently.

The role involves regular travel across London and Ireland, including overnight stays where required.
