We are working with a well established organisation to hire an experienced Health & Safety / SHEQ professional to support the continued development of its health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
This is a hands on leadership role for someone who can bring strong health and safety knowledge, support a team and work with stakeholders across the organisation to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement.
The role
You will be responsible for:
Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of SHEQ professionals
Promoting a positive health and safety culture across the organisation
Reviewing and improving health, safety, environmental and quality policies, procedures and working practices
Monitoring SHEQ performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
Supporting the organisation with regulatory and legislative compliance
Working with internal stakeholders to ensure operational standards are maintained
Providing guidance and advice on health and safety matters
Supporting continuous improvement across SHEQ processes and standards
About you
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety or SHEQ professional who is confident working with stakeholders and has experience of supporting or managing a team.
You will ideally have:
At least 3 years' experience within Health & Safety, SHEQ or a similar role
Experience within construction, utilities, engineering or another highly regulated environment
Previous experience managing, mentoring or supporting a team
NVQ Level 5 or 6 in Occupational Health & Safety, or a relevant equivalent qualification
