Key Responsibilities

• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients across various sectors
• Processing sales and purchase ledger transactions
• Bank reconciliations and cashbook management
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate financial records and client accounts
• Assisting with management accounts preparation
• Liaising with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries
• Supporting year-end accounts preparation
• Processing journals, accruals and prepayments where required
• Using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage

About You

• Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
• Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems
• Organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable managing your own workload and client relationships
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience candidates welcome
