Job Title: Governance Analyst
Department: Group Governance Services-BG-UK
Overview of Department: The Group Governance Services Department is responsible for providing a company secretarial and governance service to the firm's corporate subsidiary Boards and their members and officers, and to other Baillie Gifford governance related committees and cross functional / department projects.
You don't need previous experience in governance, regulatory or company secretarial work to apply. We'll provide full training to help you build the knowledge and skills you need. Following your initial training, you'll help support the smooth running of the firm's governance, regulatory and company secretarial activities. You'll work with colleagues across the firm to keep important records and documentation accurate and up to date, support key processes, and help ensure required information and filings are completed accurately and on time.

You will be keen to learn, comfortable taking ownership of your work and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work on time. Previous experience in governance, regulatory or company secretarial work is not required; we are looking for someone with the aptitude and curiosity to learn, and full training will be provided. You will communicate confidently and build positive working relationships with colleagues across the firm. You will also look for ways to improve how things are done, including making effective use of technology and identifying opportunities to simplify and enhance processes. You will have a strong interest in AI and its practical application within a governance and professional services environment. You'll be encouraged to challenge existing reporting, processes and deliverables, using AI and data-driven approaches to improve efficiency, surface new insights and enhance the overall quality and impact of the team's outputs.
Closing Date: October 21, 2026
Should you choose to use AI tools to support your application, we ask that you do this thoughtfully. We encourage you to ensure your application reflects your own voice, experience, and motivations. We value authenticity and want to understand your individual strengths and perspectives.
At Baillie Gifford, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful culture in which each of our colleagues can thrive and develop. We believe that our clients are best served by a diverse workforce with the experiences, ideas and perspectives that this brings.
