MOT Technician

We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Technician, MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician or Service Technician to join a busy automotive service centre. Previous experience carrying out mechanical repairs and vehicle diagnostics is essential.

Applicants must hold a current DVSA MOT Tester Licence, a Full UK Driving Licence (minimum six months) and have the right to work in the UK.

Location: Weymouth

Salary: Up to £40,000 basic + Bonus, OTE up to £43,600

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm, Saturday: 8:30am - 4:00pm on a rota (typically every other Saturday)

MOT Technician Role

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
• Complete vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs
• Fit tyres and carry out wheel alignment adjustments
• Replace brakes, exhausts, batteries and suspension components
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
• Complete job cards, MOT documentation and safety checklists accurately
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and Health & Safety

Requirements

• Current DVSA MOT Tester Licence
• Previous experience carrying out mechanical repairs and vehicle diagnostics
• Full UK Driving Licence (minimum six months)
• Right to work in the UK
