Bowmill is currently seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter & Operator to join their manufacturing team in Poole.

The Role

• Set and operate CNC Mill/Turn lathes using FANUC controls
• Manufacture precision components to customer drawings and specifications
• Inspect your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
• Ensure components meet quality, tolerance and customer requirements
• Maintain a high standard of engineering workmanship
• Follow company quality, health and safety procedures
• Maintain your work area to a high standard of 5S housekeeping

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines
• Strong working knowledge of FANUC controls
• Experience within the aerospace industry is highly desirable
• Ability to inspect your own work using a range of measuring equipment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
• Completed Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship preferred
• Experience with Nakamura machines and bar feeders would be advantageous but is not essential
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Working Hours

• Night shift core hours: 8:00pm - 3:00am
• Shift start times cannot be earlier than 4:00pm
• 39 hours per week
