At Leicester Beaumont Vets for Pets, we believe great veterinary medicine starts with a happy, supported team. We are looking for an experienced GP Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, welcoming and ambitious practice. This is more than just another veterinary role. It is an opportunity to become part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together, supports one another through challenging cases and celebrates successes together.
Whether you are looking for greater clinical freedom, a better work-life balance, support to develop a special interest or simply a practice where your contribution is recognised and valued, we would love to hear from you.
Our practice is home to a dedicated and experienced team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, 4 Receptionists, and an RVN Practice Manager. We are proud of our supportive and collaborative culture, where teamwork is at the heart of everything we do, ideas are encouraged, and every team member feels valued. With many of our colleagues having been with us for several years, we have built a stable, friendly environment where people genuinely enjoy working together.
We are committed to continually investing in our practice, facilities, and equipment to ensure our team can deliver the highest standard of patient care. Our well-equipped practice includes a brand-new ultrasound machine, and we work closely with Virtual Veterinary Specialists (VVS) to provide comprehensive guided cardiac and soft tissue ultrasound services. Additional facilities include digital radiography, handheld dental radiography, in-house IDEXX laboratory analysers with AI-enhanced technology, a diathermy unit, cryotherapy equipment, and a comprehensive range of surgical instrumentation.
We routinely undertake a wide variety of complex and advanced surgical procedures, with mentoring and support available for those looking to develop their skills further. Our focus is on providing excellent continuity of care and maintaining a high caseload in-house wherever appropriate.
You will enjoy a varied first-opinion caseload including consultations, routine surgery, dentistry, soft tissue procedures, medical investigations and more advanced surgeries depending on your experience and interests. Our skilled nursing team provides excellent inpatient support, allowing vets to focus on providing outstanding clinical care.
We know the profession can be demanding, which is why we have worked hard to create an environment where people feel supported, respected and appreciated. We want our vets to leave work feeling satisfied with the care they have delivered and confident they have the support they need to grow professionally.
Come and meet the team, have an informal chat and see our practice for yourself. We would love to show you what makes Leicester Beaumont such a rewarding place to work. Call or email to find out more.
We take our inspiration from pets in embracing people from all walks of life, and we value, respect and celebrate difference. We encourage our people to be their best selves so that we can create a better world for Pets, our Planet, and People. Our ambition is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and we are intentional in addressing and removing barriers to create opportunities for the exceptional talent and potential in our communities. Even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
