Our client said they work hard but have fun too, there's a relaxed office atmosphere where they enjoy working as a team to produce bespoke products for their clients. Please find all the details below:

Job title: Buyer

Salary: 35,000 - 37,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Start date: Animmediate start is available, or they can wait if you need to give notice in your current role.

As the Buyer your duties would be:

• Raise Purchase Orders Daily: Manage around 10 purchase orders each day from 30-40 diverse suppliers.
• Supplier Interaction: Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery timelines, ensuring a just-in-time production strategy.
• Material Management: Oversee purchasing of essential materials and general consumables like PPE and stationery.
• Invoice Management: Sign off on monthly invoices and identify any discrepancies.
• Office Administration: Handle daily admin tasks, including timesheets, job numbers, and filing delivery notes.

Key skills required for this role:

• Excellent Communication: Confident phone manner and ability to negotiate prices effectively.
• Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful supplier interactions.
• Computer Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) or similar software.
• Organisational Skills: Methodical thinker with strong attention to detail.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks based on production requirements.
• Team Player: Works well independently and collaboratively.
