About the role

Want a role where every connection counts ? As a Conductor Rail Operative , you'll be part of the team that keeps the railway powered and safe. You'll work outdoors, maintaining and repairing conductor rails-the critical system that delivers electricity to trains. Your work ensures millions of journeys happen every day.

No rail experience? No problem! We're looking for precision, safety focus, and commitment . We'll give you all the training you need to master conductor rail maintenance and build a rewarding career in rail.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and inspect: Keep conductor rails in top condition for safe train operations.
• Repair and restore: Fix faults before they cause disruption.
• Work outdoors: Rain or shine, day or night-you'll be out there making a difference.
• Drive and deliver: Check the van, transport kit, and keep the team moving.
• Stay safe: Provide lookout duties and follow safety rules at all times.

All positive drugs and alcohol test results for prospective candidates will be securely held on Sentinel database and a 5 year suspension from applying for a safety critical role, a role which requires PTS certification or a Key Safety role on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure will be enforced.
