We are recruiting for a Yard / Warehouse Operative to join a well-established British manufacturer based in Buckfastleigh.This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected local company known for producing high-quality metal products.Working across the warehouse and yard environment, you will be responsible for handling stock, loading and unloading vehicles, supporting deliveries, and maintaining a safe and organised site, while supporting efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and unloading materials, products and deliveries
Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
Carrying out stock control and goods-in/goods-out duties
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard area
About You
Essential:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Previous warehouse, stores or yard experience
Ability to work safely and effectively in a busy environment
Full UK driving licence and ability to meet the company's vehicle insurance requirements
Desirable:
Reach Truck Licence or experience
Previous manufacturing or engineering environment experience
Experience using stock control systems
