This would suit a Learning Support Assistant with relevant education, youth work or care experience who can support learners with additional needs in a college environment.

• Contract: Flexible supply and longer-term opportunities , depending on vacancies.

Your Role as a Learning Support Assistant

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping post-16 learners access lessons, follow routines and work towards individual goals.

• Adapt instructions and resources under tutor guidance to make learning accessible.
• Reinforce communication, practical skills and independence through agreed activities.
• Support engagement and emotional regulation using individual support plans.
• Share observations with tutors and support staff to review progress and next steps.

What We're Looking For in a Learning Support Assistant

• Experience as a Learning Support Assistant , or credible transferable experience supporting young people with SEND.
• A Learning Support Assistant who builds respectful relationships and encourages learners to make choices for themselves.
• Post-16 or specialist provision experience is advantageous, alongside clear communication and teamwork.
• Safeguarding awareness and an enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
