• Provide person-centred care to clients in their own homes.
• Support elderly people, people with disabilities, and clients requiring dementia/Alzheimer’s, hospice or behavioural care .
• Assist with daily activities, including:
• Personal hygiene
• Dressing
• Mobility
• Administer medication according to prescribed procedures.
• Prepare nutritious meals based on clients’ dietary requirements.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support .
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required.
• Monitor clients’ health and report concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Support appropriate physical activities/exercises to maintain mobility and wellbeing.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide basic first aid where required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of domiciliary-care experience — required.
• Previous experience in home care, nursing homes or assisted living is desirable.
• Knowledge of:
• Patient care
• Dementia and Alzheimer’s care
• Hospice care
• Elderly/senior care
• Valid driving licence — required.
• Access to a vehicle — required/asked as an application question.
• Ability to drive safely between different client locations.
• Strong caregiving skills and a compassionate attitude.
• Ability to support clients of different ages, including children and elderly people .
• Ability to manage behavioural challenges.
• Good organisational skills, particularly for medication and care documentation.
• Flexibility to work varied hours according to client needs.
• First Aid/Basic Life Support certification is advantageous.
• £12.82 per hour .
