Our busy, friendly GP Practice, based in Lightburn Medical Centre in Carntyne, in the east end of Glasgow, are looking for a competent, reliable individual to join our small hardworking and supportive reception team.

This is a varied, fast paced environment requiring an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills and be computer literate.

Experience in an administrative role and working with the public would be advantageous.

Our practice uses EMIS and DOCMAN and Microsoft Office Packages. A working knowledge of these computer systems would be helpful, but training will be provided.

This post is 30-36 hours a week, working Monday to Friday. Our practice starting times are from 8am to 6pm, which would require early morning and late evening cover. Flexibility may be necessary to cover holidays and last minute sickness.

Salary dependant on experience.

The role will include dealing with patients at reception and by telephone, managing the appointment book, filing results, signposting patients to appropriate services, processing a large amount of prescriptions, mail and other administrative services as required.
