Activity Co-ordinator – Codnor Park

Location: Derbyshire | Pay: Up to £13.21 per hour

Could you bring creativity, connection and a little extra joy to our residents’ days?

We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic Activity Co-ordinator to join our team at Codnor Park , an Ashmere residential care home in Derbyshire.

You’ll help residents enjoy meaningful activities that reflect their interests, abilities and life experiences. From music and crafts to gardening, outings and special celebrations, you’ll create opportunities for residents to build friendships and continue doing the things they love.

About the role

Your role will include:

  • Planning and delivering a varied programme of group activities and individual sessions.
  • Getting to know residents and tailoring activities to their preferences and needs.
  • Supporting residents who prefer quieter activities or individual companionship.
  • Helping residents plan and fulfil personal wishes, including meaningful experiences and end-of-life wishes, with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Accompanying residents to community events and communal event days, helping them participate and enjoy the occasion.
  • Working with colleagues and families to encourage participation and celebrate special moments.
  • Keeping activity records and using residents’ feedback to develop new ideas.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have a warm, patient approach and enjoy spending time with older people.
  • Are creative, organised and full of ideas.
  • Can help people feel included, valued and encouraged.
  • Work well within a team and bring enthusiasm to your role.
  • Hold a valid clean driving licence – this is essential for the role.

Experience in activities or a care setting would be welcome, but we’d also love to hear about relevant skills you could bring to the role.

What we offer:

  • Pay of up to £13.21 per hour.
  • Employee engagement incentives – earn reward points with a value in pounds.
  • A fully paid, week-long induction to help you settle into your role.
  • A paid DBS check.
  • Employee recognition to celebrate your contribution.
  • An attendance bonus.
  • An enhanced training programme to support your development.
