We are looking for experienced, compassionate and reliable care workers to provide 2:1 overnight support to an individual with complex care needs.
Hours: 8:00pm - 8:00am
Key Responsibilities:
Provide full support with personal care, continence care and oral hygiene
Administer medication via PEG in accordance with the care plan and MAR
Support with PEG feeding, flushes and JEJ drainage, ensuring all tubing is secure and correctly positioned
Provide support with oxygen, CPAP/ventilator equipment and suctioning, where trained and authorised
Safely reposition and transfer using the appropriate hoist/sliding sheet, with two carers
Monitor skin integrity and pressure areas, ensuring regular repositioning and appropriate pressure care

Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment, ensuring bed rails and essential equipment are correctly positioned
Provide reassurance and emotional support, particularly during periods of anxiety or disturbed sleep
Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the wider care team and family
The role requires strong complex-care experience, confidence with PEG feeding and respiratory support, safe moving and handling skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a 2:1 team. Consistency, patience and a calm approach are essential.
