Do you enjoy leading and developing people, and want a long-term role with a well-established, family-owned manufacturer where standards and teamwork genuinely matter?

On offer is a permanent position where you will take full responsibility for the site's technical standards, with the autonomy to drive continuous improvement across food safety culture, hygiene, and technical compliance. You'll be supported with further training and qualifications, and you'll play a key role on the senior management team, partnering closely with Production and wider departments.

This well-established, independent manufacturer has been operating since 1938 and supplies fresh products to customers across England and Wales. As a result of continued demand and the need for a strong people-focused technical leader, they are now looking to add a Technical Manager to lead their Technical & Laboratory function for the long term.

In this role you will lead a Technical & Laboratory team of circa 15, maintaining and developing HACCP plans, preparing for and hosting BRCGS audits, managing internal/external auditing, supporting NPD technical approval, and driving improvements through root-cause investigations and corrective actions.

This role would suit a Technical / Quality professional from food manufacturing who wants to be the technical authority for a site, take genuine ownership, develop a team, and build a long-term future in a stable business.

The Role:

• Lead the Technical & Laboratory function (circa 15 people) across food safety, quality, hygiene and legal compliance
• Own BRCGS accreditation preparation and audits, plus customer and regulatory audits
• Maintain and develop the HACCP food safety plan, systems, documentation and site standards
• Drive continuous improvement, investigations, and food safety culture across operations
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (40 hours), site-based in Tewkesbury

The Person:

• Strong technical / quality background within regulated food manufacturing (e.g. dairy, chilled, short shelf-life, high care/high risk)
• BRCGS and auditing experience with strong HACCP knowledge (Level 3)
• Proven people leadership experience
