Fintelligent is recruiting a Sales Executive for a successful specialist commercial insurance brokerage in Stockport . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with insurance, financial services, customer service or general sales experience to enter a professional, commercially focused industry with clear long-term progression.

This is not a high-volume call-centre role. You will learn how to understand client risks, gather detailed information, work with insurer markets and present appropriate insurance solutions. You will gain exposure to the full new-business process while developing the technical knowledge and commercial skills needed to build a successful career in broking.

You will join a supportive but fast-paced office environment, working alongside experienced insurance professionals and dealing with both clients and insurers from day one. The Opportunity

As a Sales Executive, you will support the new-business process from initial enquiry through to quotation and presentation of terms.

You will learn how to conduct effective fact-finds, understand client requirements, gather underwriting information and communicate professionally with both prospective clients and insurer partners. As your knowledge and confidence develop, there will be opportunities to progress into more technical and commercially focused roles across the business.

This role would suit someone who is mouldable, ambitious and keen to learn. You do not need years of commercial-broking experience, but you should bring energy, attention to detail and the commercial awareness to understand that every client conversation is an opportunity to build trust and win business.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and support incoming new-business insurance enquiries
• Speak with prospective clients to understand their insurance requirements
• Gather detailed fact-find and underwriting information
• Assist with preparing quotations and presenting terms to clients
• Liaise with insurers to obtain suitable terms and additional information
• Maintain accurate records and ensure high standards of administration
• Build technical knowledge across commercial motor, motor trade and road-risk insurance
• Work closely with experienced brokers to develop your sales, servicing and technical capability
• Deliver a professional and responsive experience throughout the customer journey

About You

You could already be working in insurance, financial services or a sales-focused environment. We are open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including:

• Insurance administration, broking support or policy servicing
• Personal lines motor insurance
• Commercial insurance support
• Motor trade or road-risk insurance
• Financial-services customer service
• General sales, telesales, B2B sales, retail sales or other target-driven customer-facing roles
• Account management or consultative customer service

Most importantly, you will be:

• Commercially savvy and motivated by building a long-term career, rather than simply finding your next role
• Confident communicating with customers by phone and able to build rapport quickly
