Maintenance Surveyor in TN34

Job DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join a housing repairs and maintenance team based in Hastings. Location: Hastings, East Sussex Contract: 3 months+ Rate: £214.39 per day umbrella Start: ASAP

The Role:

You will be responsible for providing a responsive repairs and void surveying service, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard and that all works meet relevant statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements.

Duties will include:

• * Managing responsive repairs and void works
• * Carrying out pre- and post-inspections
• * Assessing building defects and identifying appropriate remedial works
• * Preparing detailed specifications of works
• * Obtaining quotations and estimates where required
• * Monitoring and managing contractors and consultants
• * Carrying out quality control and H&S checks
• * Monitoring budgets, costs and contractor performance
• * Inspecting completed works and identifying any remedial or snagging requirements
• * Maintaining accurate records of works, variations and progress

About You:

• * At least 2 years' experience as a Building/Maintenance Surveyor within a maintenance environment
• * Experience carrying out pre- and post-inspections
• * Experience working with contractors
• * Knowledge of SOR and non-SOR contracts
• * Experience preparing detailed specifications of works
• * Good knowledge of building construction, defects, materials and remedial works
• * Knowledge of relevant Building Regulations, H&S legislation and codes of practice
• * Experience in contract and contractor management
