Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, full time

Are you an experienced Legal Assistant with previous experience within a legal environment and looking for your next opportunity in Northallerton?

We are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join an established professional services business. This is a varied role where you will provide administrative and organisational support to a busy legal team, helping to ensure client matters are handled efficiently and information is kept accurate and up to date.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a legal support role and be confident working in a professional environment. You will be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable managing a varied workload while providing a high standard of support to colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities as Legal Assistant:

• Provide day to day administrative support to members of the legal team
• Assist with the organisation and progression of client matters
• Prepare, maintain and update files, records and documentation
• Arrange appointments, meetings and other diary commitments as required
• Prepare letters, emails and other professional correspondence
• Handle telephone calls and enquiries from clients and external contacts
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and general administrative tasks
• Assist with preparing documentation and other paperwork when required
• Support with general financial and administrative processes
• Maintain accurate records and ensure information is kept up to date
• Provide wider administrative support to the team as required

What we're looking for as Legal Assistant:

• Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Legal Administrator or in a similar legal support role
• Previous experience within a legal environment is essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
• Confident communicating with clients and professional contacts
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using relevant administration systems
• Ability to produce accurate documentation and maintain well-organised records
• Ability to work independently while also providing effective support to colleagues
• A reliable and proactive approach to your work

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 , depending on experience, alongside the opportunity to join an established professional services business in Northallerton.
